Vote Jay McConville for FCRC Chairman on March 24th

Friends:

Thank you for filing as a Delegate to the Fairfax County Republican Committee Convention. Your participation and your energy are essential to our efforts to elect good Republican candidates in 2012, defeat President Obama, and prepare for future success in Fairfax County and Virginia.

I am seeking the position of Chairman of the Fairfax County Republican Committee because I believe deeply that our nation is at a critical decision point. We must choose either the path envisioned by our founders, a nation conceived in liberty and dedicated to the principles we all share, or a path that will “fundementally change” our nation and threaten both our liberty and our economic vitality. I want to serve in any way I can to fight for our future, and help return us to the right path.

I know that I have the right experience for the Chairman position, and that I can make a positive difference. I have been a candidate myself, having run for the Virginia House of Delegates in 2009. I have served two years as the Vice Chairman of the Party for Budget and Finance, and I have been a leader in the military, in business, and at the head of several other large volunteer organizations. I am an experienced fundraiser, having raised several million dollars for multiple organizations, and I am a marketing professional who will be an aggressive and vocal advocate for our shared principles. These are the skills you need in your Chairman!

My campaign theme is “Through Growth Comes Victory!” I chose this theme because I know that together we can achieve Victory – we can grow our party’s volunteer force, improve our operations, provide better value to our candidates, increase our financial resources, and be an aggressive advocate for Republican principles throughout Fairfax County. I pledge to you that I will work very hard to make this vision a reality.

Please read more about me and my plan for Victory at www.gojay.org

I would be honored to have your vote. You can count on me to work very hard for our party, our county, our Commonwealth and our nation.

Sincerely,

Jay McConville

McConville for FCRC Chairman Campaign Kickoff a Huge Success
Jay McConville begins campaign to be next Fairfax County Republican Committee Chairman on a high note at Army Navy Country Club

Fairfax, VA, January 6, 2012 – Local business and community leader Jay McConville kicked off his campaign to be the next Fairfax County Republican Committee (FCRC) Chairman to a packed house Friday night at the Army Navy Country Club in Fairfax. Approximately seventy-five attendees, including event host Delegate Barbara Comstock, listened as Mr. McConville laid out his vision for Republican success in Fairfax County.

“Live boldly, live a whole life,” were the opening words to McConville’s kickoff remarks, words and lessons he learned from his close friend Tony Snow, former White House Press Secretary, writer, and television personality, who passed away in 2008. “I am ready to take this challenge on because I share with you the conviction that we must do whatever we can to literally save our nation, it is that important,” said McConville, as he described his plan to motivate and organize the county’s Republicans and achieve victories in 2012 and beyond.

The FCRC will select a new Chairman to replace Anthony Bedell, who is stepping down after two terms, at a convention to be held on March 24th at West Springfield High School. Convention delegates must pre-register and be in attendance at the convention to support their candidate. Convention information is available at www.gojay.org and the FCRC’s website (www.fairfaxgop.com).

Jay McConville is a combat veteran, businessman, and community leader who ran for the Virginia House of Delegates in the 44thDistrict (Mount Vernon) in 2009. Since then he has served as the FCRC’s Vice Chairman for Budget and Finance. He is a former manufacturing CEO who serves on the Mt. Vernon-Lee Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, is the former President of the Ft. Hunt Youth Athletic Association, is current President of his industry association’s DC Chapter, and is an active member of the Mt. Vernon community. He is also an Ironman Triathlete, having completed the Coeur d’ Alene Ironman in 2008, and a musician, playing in the local band Close2Home, and formerly with Tony Snow’s band Beats Workin’.

Mr. McConville has been married to Sue McConville for 26 years and they have three children, Katelyn (15), Colin (19), and James Robert (21).

Campaign Announcement

Greetings!

Message to the Members of the Fairfax County Republican Committee (FCRC):

It has been my distinct pleasure to serve, first as a candidate and for two years as Vice Chairman for Budget and Finance, with the dedicated people of the FCRC. I have also valued the opportunity to work closely with Chairman Anthony Bedell, who has been a mentor, teacher, and friend. As I am sure you have heard, Anthony has announced his intention to not seek another term as our Chairman. Please join me in thanking him for his incredible service, hard work and dedication. Anthony has done a tremendous job in establishing the FCRC as a force in Virginia. We owe him a debt of gratitude.

In order to continue to serve the party in which I so strongly believe, I have decided to seek your support to be the next Chairman of the Fairfax County Republican Committee.

This is a big job, and I take that responsibility very seriously. I am confident that my leadership experience, my first-hand knowledge of the challenges facing our candidates, and my experience as part of the FCRC Executive Committee will bring great value to our efforts in 2012 and beyond. As a military Veteran, businessman, former Corporate CEO, and community leader, I know how to manage large and diverse organizations and achieve real results. My pledge to you is that I will work tirelessly in the pursuit of the objectives we all share, continue the fine work of the Committee, and dedicate myself to continuous improvement in service of our cause.

We have much work to do to achieve Victory in 2012 and beyond. We have the great people and we have the right message. What we must do is use the foundation rebuilt by Chairman Bedell and continue to grow our committee, increase our resources, and reach out to the many coalitions of like-minded individuals throughout our County. I stand with all of you as we prepare to bring our Republican message to the widest possible audience while supporting our candidates in this critical time for our nation. I would be honored to have your support.

Soon I will be launching a website which will give you the details of my platform, as well as any and all information you will need to know about me to make your decision. More importantly I will reach out to you all personally to discuss your ideas for making our organization even better than it is today. I look forward to these conversations, and to hearing from you between now and our convention.

Thank you for all you do, for your dedication to our cause, and for your amazing efforts on behalf of the people of Fairfax County, the Commonwealth of Virginia, and these United States.

Through Growth Comes Victory!

Sincerely,

Jay McConville
